| As the music industry mourns the loss of the Godfather Of House, he re-entered the UK Top 40, securing a spot at number 29 with ‘Your Love’.
There is speculation that he would have reached higher in the charts, if it were not for the different variations of the single available for purchase.
Knuckles passed away at home in Chicago on Monday last week. He played at Ministry Of Sound in London the Saturday before. His friend, DJ Terry Farley, was performing with him that evening.
He revealed in an interview with The Guardian that he didn’t want to interrupt Knuckles as he was in the mix, and thus never got the chance to properly say goodbye.
He said: “I've learned never to take it for granted that there will be a next time to show some love.” |
