Lady Gaga opens up about her addiction to stardom as she covers Harper's Bazaar Love her or hate her, there is no denying that Lady Gaga is a modern icon. And the pop star admitted that stardom can be incredibly addicting as she covered the December/January cover of Harper's Bazaar. 'Fame is the best drug that’s ever existed,' the pop star, 30, penned in an open essay to the publication. 'But once you realize who you are and what you care about, that need for more, more, more just goes away,' the Poker Face hit-maker revealed. Lady Gaga - born Stefani Germanotta - looked stunning as she posed for several images in the upcoming issue. 'Growing up, I was always told I was a rebel,' the Oscar-nominated actress confessed. She continued: 'People would say things like, "You're defiant," and "Why are you dressed that way?" But I continued to do what I wanted and wear what I wanted because clearly I haven't changed.'
