Singer uses radio wave facelifts that cost £250 a blast.
After giving up Botox, Kylie Minogue credited a £3.99 face cream for her youthful glow.
But, two years off her 50th birthday, it appears there's another – rather more extreme – reason behind the star's evergreen appearance: £250 a pop collagen wave facials.
The Australian singer is a fan of the procedure which sees patients blasted with radio frequency to tighten skin tissue, and plump-up the face.
Following a course of six initial treatments with celebrity dermatologist Nilam Patel, Miss Minogue is now on a 'maintenance' programme which sees her having an hour-long session every few months.
With celebrity fans including Amanda Holden, Nicole Scherzinger and Spice Girl Mel B, the facial is non-ablative, meaning it acts on the middle and lower layers of skin without damaging the surface. It is also so relaxing, regulars often fall asleep during an hour-long treatment.
Last night a friend said: 'Kylie is a big fan of non-invasive treatments, which means there is no down time – and no covering up with a balaclava for the next few days.
'Collagen waves are utterly painless, and very relaxing, and afterwards her skin is glowing. It's a lot more natural than Botox, and doesn't involve painful injections.
'Kylie believes they have taken years off her, without given her a frozen, unnatural look.' |
