There's plenty of reasons why we think Berghain is dance music's biggest meme. Now there's another one as the club's infamous doorman, Sven Marquardt, has been reworked into a mini model.
The gangly, strange-looking mould is the work of German artist Marina Schmiechen who's modelled him in thick-rimmed glasses, black jacket, skinny black jeans and, obviously, all of his jewellery.
Davie Bowie has also been immortalised twice as part of the project, one of them in a neat black suit and the other in his elaborate Ziggy Stardust get-up complete with cigarette hanging from his mouth.
As can be seen in the gallery above, the Kraftwerk fellas and Paul Kalkbrenner also get transformed, with prices starting at €550. |
