Chet Faker has followed in the footsteps of his friend and collaborative partner Flume to become the second electronic musician to win 'Best Male Artist' at the Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) Awards in the past two years.
The Melbourne singer and producer took out the prize, as well as 'Best Independent Release', for his debut album 'Built on Glass' at a ceremony at Sydney's The Star last night, after being nominated for nine awards back in October.
Meanwhile, Canberra duo Peking Duk beat out Flume and Chet Faker's 'Drop The Game' to take home 'Best Dance Release' for their single 'High'. |
