| French techno producer The Hacker is on the verge of releasing his third solo album.
In an interview with Noisey France, it has been revealed that the new album will be called 'LOVE / KRAFT' and it will be released in two halves.
'Part One' will consist of five tracks and will be available on The Hacker's ZONE imprint on April 21, and 'Part Two' will also feature five tracks and will be available in September. After that, a CD with both parts and some unreleased material will also come.
As it has been ten years since his last album, the producer, real name Michel Amato, indicated that this latest album caused him to ask questions of himself:
"I started this disc several times, I went through moments of doubt, questioning, it was really not easy. I was even afraid of repeating myself at a time...And then there was one year, I say stop, you stop changing the tracklisting, you stop wanting everything again, and I selected my favourite pieces lately."
The Hacker now works with Gesaffelstein, and provided some interesting context on their first encounters and how they have influenced each other:
"When we met, we were immediately on the same wavelength. Musically, I think I influenced on his first productions, and in return, his vision of music has influenced me and made me see things differently. He repeated what I and others had started, and it took him elsewhere. He made this musical style - techno/electro/dark - interesting again, and turned towards the future...It has created excitement and interest for this new music." |
