| After being on the receiving end of a huge amount of praise and attention following the release of Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ synth don Giorgio Moroder announced that he is going to release his first solo album of original work in over 30 years on Sony/RCA.
Leading with the tongue-in-cheek, Euro-synthed single ’74 Is The New 24’, the album is set for release in the Spring of 2015, and will feature appearances from Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Matthew Koma, Sia and many more high profile artists.
Moroder, who turned 74 this year, has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity after being a collaborator on Daft Punk’s last album, even getting the chance to spin his yarn on the track on 'Giorgio by Moroder'.
The new video for ’74 Is The New 24’ was directed by Jai Lewis and hammers home Moroder’s own vision of the retro-future sound his been honing for forty-something years. |
