So first up we have the newly crowned DJ Mag Best British DJ, the most recent Radio 1 Essential Mixer, an ultimate master of music production and quite possibly the soundest bloke in the music industry! We are absolutely delighted to welcome Eats Everything to our beloved venue in 2013. With each release having one up on its predecessor , Mosca is not only highly acclaimed for his releases but his skills as a selector. Now with a Radio 1 show on the popular “In New DJs We Trust”, Mosca doesn't seem to be going anywhere but forward. Waze & Odyssey rolled onto the scene in early 2012 with their debut release "Ah Baby (Here We Go Again)" EP on Petfood Recordings. Their sound could be described as MK meets Todd Terry meets the spirit of Tony Humphries at Zanzibar Club, and it's a sound that has caused quite a stir with tastemakers across the board, with the likes of Lazaro Casanova, Friendly Fires, Bicep and Danny Daze all bigging them up. In Manchester, Ben Pearce cut his teeth with many years running and DJ-ing for a successful night and is now producing records with an ever filling gig diary. It was the release of “What I Might Do” on MTA Records that really put him on the map, and since has been voted in countless 2012 polls for both that track and his overall status as an artist. 23 year old South London Ordnance may have sought a degree of anonymity, but a year with his head above the parapet - honing skills as both a DJ and producer has paid dividends 2013 kicks off with South London Ordnance's debut outing on Scuba's Hotflush Recordings. Slated for release in early January, the EP marks the beginning of another strong year for the young artist. Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe were christened PBR Streetgang after a long trip to Ibiza. Ibiza is a second home to the lads as residents for world re-nowned party We Love… at Space. With releases under a plethora of labels including Hot Creations, we are delighted to be welcoming this pair back to Canal Mills. Special mention must also go to our Room 2 hosts, Selective Hearing. Starting life in Manchester, this is a brand that caught our eye from the off by showcasing some of the most forward thinking artists from the electronic music realm. They now run parties all across the country, and with their residents Transmission Collective in towe we know these guys are really going to bring the goods on January 25th.
