This year we’ve got something extra-special planned for our annual New Years Day celebration. For the first time ever, we’ll be hosting a 12 hour party at one of our favourite venues, Canal Mills. The Faversham has been our home now for the last 7 years, providing the backdrop to some of our most memorable parties yet, but we feel it’s time to keep things moving forward. Moving from one much loved venue to another, Canal Mills allows us to offer something even better this year with our biggest line up to date. We’re very excited to be opening a completely new, never-before-seen Room 3, complete with full ‘Just A Little’ production, for this very special occasion. We have extra bars, boutique chill-out rooms, disco beds and a whole lot more! If that wasn’t enough, we’ll be joined by our largest line up yet to help us celebrate. At the top of the bill, we present Breach. 2013 has seen him put out a string of great records on his Naked Naked imprint, a brilliant collaboration with Dark Sky, and quite possibly the most infectious dance floor record of the year - ‘Jack’. Having impressed us at our 6th Birthday earlier this year, we can’t wait to have him with us again. Up next, we welcome Leeds favourite Mano Le Tough. Every time we hear him play he’s outstanding and after a brilliant set at last year’s party, we’ll be happy to have him by our side again. We’ll also be joined by Pearson Sound, who returns to his former hometown to bring the bass-heavy sounds of Hessle Audio back up north. With a new record under his belt, and having recently returned from a tour in the US, this set is not to be missed. Mono_cult favourite and renowned selector, Levon Vincent needs no introduction. Demand for his records has reached such a level that anything he releases sells out within a matter of hours, whilst his skills as a DJ make his sets some of the finest around. His Fabric 63 mix is an excellent example, cementing his reputation as one of the most respected artists on the scene. At our New Years Day party 3 years ago, Harry Agius played his first ever set as Midland, and it goes without saying that he’s remained a firm Mono_cult favourite. Over the last year his productions have reached new levels, and with his Graded label providing the outlet for some of the best material he’s ever produced, it’s the perfect time to catch him playing back in Leeds. Glaswegian duo, Optimo, are one of those artists with an unnaturally broad knowledge of music. Formed of friends JD Twitch and JG Wilkes, who cut their teeth behind the decks of their own club night more than 15 years ago, they have unrivalled experience and the ability to move any dance floor. This time round, they’ll be playing a special 4 hour set to bring in 2014. Anthony Naples is part of a new breed of US-born producers whose tunes are making waves here in the UK. With releases on labels-of-the-moment Mister Saturday Night, Houndstooth and The Trilogy Tapes, along with the recent formation of his own imprint, it’s certain you’ll be hearing only the freshest cuts. We can’t quite believe that he’s never played here before so make sure you don’t miss this Leeds debut. Finally, Last Waltz completes our line-up with their brand of Futureboogie-approved house. Our residents Matt Long, Brad Mercer and Paul Kaminski will also be providing support, alongside our friends over at Mavrik, Just a Little and Play It Down. This one’s going to be very special...
