| In collaboration with Resident Advisor, we’re excited to invite Hudson Mohawke, George Fitzgerald, Paul Woolford, Floating Points and People Get Real to Canal Mills on the 15th February!
At the age of 15, Ross Birchard was the youngest ever DMC finalist. Since then, he’s smashed down boundaries between genres with critically acclaimed albums on the all-conquering Warp Records. He’s also collaborated with Lunice as TNGHT, and provided beats for none other than Kanye West, Azealia Banks and Pusha T! We can’t wait to welcome Hudson Mohawke to Canal Mills for the first time…
George Fitzgerald first caught our attention with a string of releases on the fledgling Hotflush label. Nowadays, with records on Hypercolour, AUS, Hotflush, K7! and his own ManMakeMusic imprint, he’s one of the most talented producers about. As a DJ, he’s put together mixes for Resident Advisor, FACT, and Radio 1’s esteemed Essential Mix series.
Our good friend Jack Revill makes a welcome return to the mill as he takes to the decks for what promises to be another unforgettable night of house, disco and everything in between. Expect the ultimate party with the Numbers bossman!
Many forget that Paul Woolford has been producing killer records since way back in the early 2000’s. With tracks released by the likes of Carl Craig’s Planet E, Subliminal, and 20:20 Vision - home to his ground-breaking 2006 ‘Erotic Discourse’ release, it would be an understatement to suggest that Paul is an experienced producer! Having released the tune of the summer in ‘Untitled’ last year, we can’t wait to hear what he’s got for us when he joins us in February.
Floating Points will also be taking to the ones and twos for a set that, as ever, promises to be both experimental and eclectic. Widely supported by British radio DJs, Sam Shepherd is hailed as one of the finest producers the country has to offer, with each production showcasing his ability to intertwine the sounds of soul, gospel, blues, jazz, dub and house to create anthemic arrangements of aural beauty.
Finally, introducing our mates People Get Real, whose impeccable selection will ensure that you’ll have as much fun on the dance floor as they do behind the decks! |
