| Vinyl sales
This one might not be strictly dance music-related but we couldn't leave it out. Vinyl album sales in the UK reached one million at the end of November, its highest point since 1996. Sales were well on track to tonk the record in October when they hit 844,122, almost a 15,000 increase of the year before. It's reckoned that the figure will shoot to 1.2 million post-Christmas and the Official Charts Company is launching a vinyl chart as a result of the wax resurgence.
