| It's over! Bella Hadid and The Weeknd split after 18-month romance but 'remain friends'
Bella Hadid has split from rapper boyfriend The Weeknd after a year and a half of dating.
The news that the model, 20, and the rapper, 25, have gone their separate ways was confirmed Thursday by People.
'Their schedules have been too hard to coordinate and he is focusing on finishing and promoting his album,' a source told the publication. 'They still have a great deal of love for one another and will remain friends.'
Neither has yet commented on their breakup.
The couple were first linked back in April 2015 when Bella agreed to pose for the artwork for the Canadian musician's album Beauty Behind The madness.
A rep for the Weeknd - real name Abel Tesfaye - had no comment. A rep for Hadid did not immediately respond to request for comment.
The younger sister of model Gigi Hadid also starred in The Weeknd’s music video for single In the Night. |
