Zayn has revealed the moment he decided to leave One Direction - during a concert in Hong Kong.
In his new autobiography, the 23-year-old says he was 'in f******g bits' when he made the decision back in March 2015, while his relationship with Perrie Edwards was collapsing.
'I had been in a bad place for a while and I didn't see myself getting out of it unless I made a change,' he writes. 'My relationship with my fiancee Perrie was breaking down. To make matters worse, there were so many crazy stories flying around in the newspapers about us.'
The singer, who is now dating model Gigi Hadid, goes on to describe the pressure he felt with the increasing media scrutiny of his relationship.
'It made me just want to disappear for a while,' he says. |
