Iconic Canadian electronic music producer Tiga is set to play his debut headline live show for the first time in its entirety in Montreal at Arsenal on October 27th. The show, which will see Tiga joined onstage by Jori Hulkkonen, is a collaborative project involving design collective Pfadfinderei (Modeselektor live, Moderat live) and Helmi (Division Paris), whom Tiga worked with on the widely acclaimed “Bugatti” video. The hybrid of live production and visual art installation will see Tiga perform songs and breakout tracks from across his career, including “You Gonna Want Me,” “Sunglasses At Night,” “Pleasure From The Bass,” “Let’s Go Dancing” and music from his latest album, No Fantasy Required, including co-productions with Hudson Mohawke, Matthew Dear and Martin Buttrich. Housed within Pfadfinderei and Helmi’s production, Tiga will perform live vocals alongside Hulkkonen, with the emphasis shifting between Tiga’s performance, the lighting effects and projections. One of the boldest voices internationally in electronic music, Tiga helped to kickstart Montreal’s techno scene in the ’90s, importing influential music via DNA Records, co-founding party promoter Neon and launching the renowned SONA club. His label Turbo Recordings gained global respect, signing talent such as Chromeo, Azari & III, Gesaffelstein, Duke Dumont, Brodinski and more in the emerging stages of their careers. His own recording career has been extensive, having previously collaborated with Soulwax, Jesper Dahlbäck and James Murphy on his albums Ciao! and Sexor, the latter winning a Juno award in 2007. On this night, Tiga will be joined by very special guests The Martinez Brothers, Matias Aguayo and more to be announced. Line-up / Tiga (live) The Martinez Brothers Matias Aguayo ... and more
