| The Hakkasan Nightclub Group is expanding by purchasing 90 per cent of The Light Group and acquiring 22 of its spaces.
Hakkasan is associated with its unbelievably large Las Vegas club which takes up 5 floors of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. With $36 million to spare, it has decided to purchase nearly all of the New York Morgans Hotel Group, which includes a series of nightclubs, day clubs and restaurants. Most of these locations are on the Las Vegas strip.
This deal means the Hakkasan Group will be the largest non-gambling organisation that occupies the Strip. This must be where that $500,000 NYE bottle service cash is headed. |
