Netflix has confirmed the final season of House of Cards, per Variety and other outlets.
Following allegations of sexual misconduct against star Kevin Spacey from actor Anthony Rapp, the streaming platform revealed Monday that the show's upcoming sixth season — currently in production — would be its last.
It's unclear if this is a direct response from Netflix to the heated conversation about Spacey following Sunday night's disturbing revelations.
Spacey, who has been nominated for several awards for his role on the show, issued a public statement in which he came out as a gay man that was heavily criticized for missing the point. |
