We Concur is back with our biggest event yet. After our last sell out party with Avant Garde at Corsica Studios, we will be bringing you some of the finest techno talents this New Years Day at one of London’s most forward thinking and much loved venues, Oval Space. As London’s only dedicated techno event running on New Years Day evening, we aim to bring you not only the different styles and sounds within the genre but also production fitting of the occasion. - Nina Kraviz Global superstar Nina Kraviz is very much a tastemaking, scene leading artist. She sings, she produces, she DJs all over the globe, and it’s for that reason that she is one of the most influential voices in electronic music. Since breaking through with standout releases on Underground Quality, she has become an essential member of the Rekids family, releasing a string of EPs and a very personal debut album on the long running label. As an RBMA protegé and a student of classic house and techno, she is a fierce DJ who has risen to the upper echelons of the scene in recent years. Her sets in recent years have shown incredible fluidity, showcasing her diverse love for acid, electro, techno and more, with labels like Dance Mania being a key proponent of this. We’re also very excited to announce that as it’s a very special occasion she will be performing for a minimum of 3.5 hours – but who knows how long she will go on for??? - Alan Fitzpatrick A DJ of whom Southampton can be truly proud of is Alan Fitzpatrick. His recent tracks ‘Skeksis’ and ‘We Are Forever Young’ are almost certainly considered classics already and he’s the man behind plenty more purely dancefloor-facing EPs and LPs. Having released on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, Bedrock and his own 8 Sided Dice label, Alan has proven through consistency and continuity that he deserves every bit of the recognition he receives worldwide. When behind the decks his performances are fuelled with intoxicating energy and an intrinsic knowledge of music: Anyone who has caught one of his sets at Awakenings will know how legendary a performer he is and New Years Day 2015 will be no different, where he will perform a very rare extended 3 hour set. - Recondite Life And Death affiliate Recondite has made a name for himself as a true craftsman of moody, emotive and dark techno sounds. His atmospheric and haunting style of production has won the support of some of the scenes biggest names including Ben Klock and Tale Of Us. A firm member of the Dystopian camp - an imprint originally started by friends but is now along with label mate Rødhâd carving out a new direction of techno. Recondite achieves a melancholy and beauty out of his machines that few can manage, doing so on fine labels like HotFlush, Acid Test and Innervisions – with whom he is set to release his latest much anticipated album ‘Iffy’ on 11th November 2014. He will play a special live set that will find him manipulating machines into heady, captivating techno soundscapes. Catch his first London performance after the release of his aforementioned album. - Rachel Lyn Rachel Lyn closes out the line-up and is getting more and more deserved recognition for her work, with the likes of Richie Hawtin championing her track ‘Flower Parts’. She has recently collaborated with Pig & Dan, and had her track ‘Citrine’ remixed by Kris Wadsworth, which has received some heavy support from Radio 1. A close associate of labels like Terminal M and HouseRepublic and with a recent feature in DJ Mag, she is certainly one to watch and we cannot wait to have her down. Line-up / Nina Kraviz (трип) Alan Fitzpatrick (Drumcode / Cocoon Recordings) Recondite (live) (Innervisions / Dystopian / Hotflush) Rachel Lyn (HouseRepublic / Terminal M / We Concur)
