Ever since its debut in 2015, André Saraiva's Chinatown cafe has been a hub for creatives, French girls, and fashion bloggers thanks to its millennial pink tables, x-rated neon artwork, and colorful dishes just begging for an #EEEEEATS hashtag. It's been a Fashion Week staple and an art snob's dream, hosting countless exhibitions and boasting authentic Jean Prouvé benches for brunchers in-the-know. However, all good ('grammable) things must come to an end, and the time is apparently now for Café Henrie. Last week, the artist, hotelier, and nightlife connoisseur announced via Instagram that his "art project" would be ending, meaning the hip spot on Forsyth is no more. While the official last day of operations will be Sunday, November 12th, the cafe hosted a "block party" on Friday with friends and neighbors to say goodbye. They will also be selling off all items (including their impeccably chic pottery mugs and bowls) in a yard sale - and, FYI, those retro pink tables are just $190. But before you start tearing the place apart, stop in for one last cup of coffee...and Instagram, of course.
