| Mike Satsky and Brian Gefter, owners of New York’s ritzy VIP club Provocateur, are on course to open their latest as-yet-unnamed nightclub in Manhattan’s vibrant Meatpacking district this February.
Satsky and Gefter acquired the 11,000 sq. ft. space two years ago, and early last year Eater NY announced that they had been approved for their spirits license and that the duo’s plan was to build a club where the troubled Shadow once stood. The renovations have been on going but with an opening dated mooted to be in February it’s safe to assume the club itself is just about complete.
The owners insist that the club will be very different from the high-end vibes of Provocateur, though they will stay honest to their roots in electronic music. The last few years have seen Provocateur host the likes of Seth Troxler, Guy Gerber, Art Department, Pete Tong and scores of other massive names on the scene at the moment. |
